Here we will try to answer some of the more frequently asked questions about our church and it's minisitries. If you don't find the anwer to your question feel free to contact us!

Why are there so many Denominations?
Every church group has its “distinctives” - the practices or beliefs that set it apart from other groups. Sometimes this is confusing to people.  They say, “if the Bible is true and Jesus was who he claimed to be, why are there so many different churches with so many different beliefs?”

Some people even say the existence of the different denominations is really evidence of “sin” and division in the church.  We prefer to see it in a more positive way.  That is, we accept the fact that we are not all the same.  We hold to the opinion that the different denominations show a beautiful diversity in the Christian Church.  This is a strength rather than a weakness.

We also believe when you look at the Church as a whole, you get a clearer picture of the depth and breadth of the Body of Christ, which is the Church.  We are optimistic in our belief, that even with all the diversity in practice, the foundational doctrines of Christian teaching are held in common among the variety of Christian churches.  This diversity of practice falls into this category of “distinctives”.

What is a Wesleyan?
Each Wesleyan church is unique in style and personality.  Our local congregation is composed of people from many different church backgrounds, but we hold these beliefs in common:

◆  We believe the Bible is uniquely and divinely inspired.  It is accurate and is our trustworthy guide for all we believe and do.

◆  We believe in one God, beside whom there is no other, who has chosen to reveal Himself to us as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

◆ We believe human beings are made in the image of God, but because of our self-centeredness we display the universal tendency toward             both active and passive rebellion against God.  This is sin.

◆ We believe each person’s most urgent need is to be aware of his/her sin and to confess it before God, receiving new life through Jesus             Christ and his death in our place on Calvary.

◆ We believe Jesus Christ is uniquely the son of God and is God’s true revelation of Himself in human form.

◆ We believe a personal relationship with Christ is our only hope of salvation
